Unexpected Project (But a good one!)

OK, so I was going to have this WHOLE week to work on my quilt. Well . . . I haven't started on it yet. I've been really busy getting Alyssa moved into Van's room. She LOVES being on the top bunk! (She is even asking to take naps!) So I now have her old room as my work/craft room!

I AM VERY EXCITED!

I think I'll have all the stuff moved and organized by tomorrow, but it won't be completely done. I've got the electrician coming next week to work on an outlet so we can get the computer moved to that room. I'm also planning on making curtains, throw pillows, and fabric plaques for the walls. Hopefully to get some inspiration. I think I'm going for bright and cherry it get me motivated to work! The walls are already a light yellow so I think I wanted to throw in some soft oranges. I'm thinking Amy Butler's new Midwest Modern line would be perfect. (Speaking for Amy, I'm am TOTALLY excited about her new book "Little Stitches for Little Ones"!)

I'll post pictures when the room is all completed. Don't worry I won't forget, I'm pretty thrilled with it and I'll want to show it off! ;)

"Me" time . . .

So, I've decided to hold off on listing things on ebay for a couple of weeks. I still have my stuff on etsy, but I want things to slow down. (I might be eating my words later!) I really would like to make some projects for myself and do the little things around the house that have been put off.

You can see that this will be project Number 1! I bought this kit a couple of months ago. It's a cute summer quilt and I would like to have it out this summer. (Not this winter!) Wish me luck! I'll post the finished project later. :)

Summer Vacation!

Phew! We're home! I'm sad that it's over, but glad to be home. You know, traveling with kids can be quite challenging! When you leave, you have to pack the whole house! Our car was filled to the max! (My husband HAD to bring his golf clubs!)

I am proud to present.... the new packaging for my nursing cover!!!! YEAHHHHH!

I've been working on this for over a week now. I've ordered TWO wrong sizes for cellophane bags, but I've finally gotten it right!

I've also taken some tips from Amanda at Mimi Green, on photography. So this is my first attempt with the white background. I think I might need to get a larger backdrop and some plexiglass to really show my items off! That'll have to come later, but right now I'm doing my little happy dance! :)

(I'm so excited... and just can't hide it! I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!)

I don't know if you've guessed it, but my Dad brought a dog for the kids!

Her name is Tinkerbell and she's 2 years old. She's a shi tzu yorkie mix and sooo beautiful! We're having so much fun with her and the kids are TOTALLY in love with her. I'm so glad that she's apart of our family now!

Well, I'm sorry it's taken me awhile to get this posted. I've been SUPER busy getting ready for the baby fair that was yesterday. I finally feel that this huge weight has been lifted off! Phew!

I've made some really great contacts. I hope this will move in the right direction to get my new business to take off. We'll see. Keep your fingers crossed!

You're probably wondering what's the stuff on the right. Well, that's my "craft fair" partner and new friend, Annie. Her business name is Annie and Co. She's AMAZINGLY talented!!!! I think she has to be a clone from "Martha" or something! :) We're going to be meeting up for another fair at the beginning of August, so I better bring my A game. I need some new ideas, so I'll be heading to the book store next week to start preparing!

Oh also, be sure to look for her on Etsy soon! I think I've talked her into setting up shop there. As soon as I know her shop name, I'll make sure I post it.
