Vacation's over and I can finally breathe!

I'm back from Colorado! It's finally over! I was looking forward to being on vacation, but this one turned out to be a nightmare!

Van got altitude sickness, he also got car sick, and Matt was sick the last day coming home because he chose to be hung over! Now we're dealing with Van having bronchitis. At least we're home for this one.

So when I got home, the orders started flowing in! Good for business, but I was totally overwhelmed! I'm finally feeling like I'm catching up. :) I finished up some custom orders the other day. More chalk mats! They sure are popular without me listing them. I had to do 3 of them. Cherry, mermaid, and cupcakes. Also some tie onesies, a new pattern! I'm going to take pictures of it today so expect them in the shop in a couple of days. I also have to make 48 bag tags for a wedding.
Well it's just about that time to start preparing for the winter craft shows. I have one in Cambria at the beginning of November and one in Paso Robles at the beginning of December. I don't know if there is going to be another Morro Bay, but that one will also be in November.
I also would like to get my children scarves in the shop this month. I've got so many different designs for them. You guys have seen the red scooter scarf. I also have some Heather Bailey, Sock Monkey, a black and grey scooter, Amy Butler, and some Ginger Blossom! I can't wait for ya'll to view them! They should be done in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pictures as they're finished. So stay tuned! ;)
To my wonderful Hubby,
Happy 6th anniversary and happy birthday honey! The life we've made together means the world to me, and I love you more than ever.
Love,
Amanda

Fire Truck Chalk Mat

Here is one of the custom orders that I had to complete. Another chalk mat! I think the retro fire trucks are really cute. This print was popular at the craft fair I did last December. I'll probably try it again. (Along with some new ones!!!)

Echino Heaven!

I L. O. V. E. my new Echino fabric that I got from Fabric Worm!!! I am suppose to be making these children scarves for the upcoming craft fair, but I might have to keep this one for Van. Doesn't he look too cute! I know it's August and we're having 90 degree weather, but I just had to take some pictures of it. Please let me know what ya'll think. Should I offer these in my shop or just stick with the craft fairs?

I am working on a girl one now. It's a Ginger Blossom from Sandi Henderson. I'll post pictures of that one when we return from vacation.
That's right, you guys don't know that we'll be going to Colorado this Saturday. It's Matt's family reunion. We actually head to Sacramento on Saturday to meet up with his parents and then fly out on Sunday. We'll be there through Thursday and then back home on Saturday the 23rd. I don't know how much I'll be able to get on the computer, since my husband told me that this was "vacation" and that I can not work. (I'll just have to sneak some computer time in. he he he sneaky!) So if you still want to order from the shop feel free to, but all orders won't ship until August 25th.
I'll try to post one more time before I leave. I've got a custom order to fill tonight for my *new* friend Shauna. I just helped her with her new sewing machine last night and now I think she feels more confident. (I hope!) **Shauna if you're reading this, call me if you have any more trouble. Happy Sewing!!!**

The Chalk Mats Are Back

You read that right, the chalk mats are back. I made this one for a custom order today.
Don't you just love the picture. I found out about this website from Hello, Cupcake today. It was so fun playing with the picture! You can do so many things! I think that I will be updating my photos on etsy when I have time this week.
Well I just found out the date for the next craft fair from my friend Annie. It's going to be in Cambria on November 8th. I've already started buying my material to get ready. So you'll be seeing some new projects plus more chalk mats! :)
Oh one more thing. . . I was looking for the Enchino fabric this past week and found out that Fabric Worm offered it. Well, it is such a small world! Cynthia from Fabric Worm lives only 2 minutes away from me!!!! You can count on me being at her house every week to get the lastest fabrics. You should definitely check it out if you are a 'fabric lover' like me!

I finally feel rested!

The craft fair is over and it was my best one ever! That doesn't say much because I've only done 4 shows. he he But it was a success! My eye spy games were a hit. I'll have to make more of those next time, along with my chalk cloth placemats. Those were the hit last Christmas.

Here are some pictures of the show. They were taken at the end of the day. I should have taken them at the beginning when the table was pretty.

If you look at the back corner of the table, there is only 1 eye spy game left. :)

Here are some pictures of some new things that I'll be adding to etsy this week. Enjoy!

Since the show is finally past, I can now get my sewing room clean so I can show you my new room! :) I can also finish my ladybug quilt and get those pictures up too!
