This is what I've been up to.

I've decided that I wanted to bring a few new items to the show this weekend. Along with my other stuff that I already posted, I'll be bringing these cute baby blocks. I've made 24 of them. I don't know how they will do, but it was fun to try something different.

Also for those Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles that read this blog, you can check out Alyssa's cheerleading performance this evening.

Didn't she look super cute! She did such a great job! :)

1st Cheer Performance

Alyssa had her 1st cheer performance at the Mid State Fair. She did such a great job! She's only been doing it for a month now and I see such a change in her body coordination. She also looked super cute up there!

Alyssa and Van had a fun time at the fair. We saw the farm animals, met the fire department, and the California Hwy Patrol! Alyssa even got to take a picture in the cop car! (In the front seat, NOT the back!)

Van got a fireman's hat, which he LOVES!

And here are the kids in front of the hot dog stand! We had such a fun time! Lucky for me, we get to do this again on Thursday! Yeah! (Can you tell my sarcasm?)

I had a SUCCSSFUL weekend!

I am so proud of myself. I actually set a plan that I stuck with! YEAH! I really needed to get things ready for the craft fair next weekend. So this is what I did.
Saturday morning:
7 nursing covers
Saturday evening:
bobby pins and rings
(I need more button covers, so I've got more work to do with these)

Sunday:
6 Eye Spy kits

It would have been 7, but Matt put a hole in one when he was attaching the grommet. I know what you're thinking. "What a sweet guy for working for me!" Well, we've got an agreement. Matt's under contract when it comes to craft fair time. If he helps me with adding grommets and stuff, he can have $10 to do WHATEVER he wants with. I think that's a fair trade because he only has to add like 10 or so. It averages out to like a $1.00 a grommet. Not bad!

So this is it so far. I'm NOT EVEN CLOSE to being done. Alyssa has her cheer leading performance tomorrow evening. I'm also working at Simply Mama tomorrow, my 1 day for the month. On Tuesday evening Van and I get our hair cut. Thursday Alyssa has another cheer leading performance at the Mid State Fair. Saturday we have a birthday party to attend to. I have NO IDEA when I am going to get the rest of my work done! I still have bibs, onesies, burp cloths, nursing covers, card printing, and tagging items!!!! Cross your fingers for me in hopes I somehow get an extra 8-12 hours in a day. I highly doubt that will happen though. ;)

Well have a good night, I'm off to work.

What a BUSY week!

First of all I want to say, "I love you honey!" Thanks for the early anniversary present!

That being said, Matt took me to see John Mayer at the Mid State Fair on Wednesday. His Mom and Dad came to watch the kids so we could have some play time. (Thank you so much!!!)

I had sooo much fun! I just love John. Here is a little clip of one of my favorite songs right now. ENJOY! Sorry about the camera work ;)

So I also found out that I'll be doing another craft show with my partner this next weekend. I've been VERY busy getting ready for that and trying to fill orders at the same time. I have really good intentions to get a lot done this weekend so I won't be stressing this next week. (I say that every time, lets see if I can make it happen this time.)

This will be my first one in Morro Bay. It's on Sunday August 3rd from 9am to 5pm. If you're local and happen to make it, come check out the booth. I'll give you 10% off your purchase if you mention this blog! :) YEAH! I've also added some new things to my booth. I'll post pictures later. (I don't think they'll come out very good at night time. I've got to wait for the natural light in the morning.)

Speaking of mornings, this is a little off subject, but Matt, the kids and I have been doing morning walks together. I love starting the day off like that. I hope this routine will last, I enjoy the exercise.

Well, I better go. It's 11:15pm and I'm waiting for a call from Matt. He's at a Stone Temple Pilots concert with a friend and I've got to pick them up. (I'm the DD.) Until next time. . .

**UPDATE 12am**

I just got home. I'm so glad that I picked the guys up. They are totally wasted! It sounds like they had a great time and I'm happy that Matt got to have some "male bonding".

What a day yesterday was!

We started off the day great yesterday. Swimming lessons and a picnic in the park with friends. I packed the food and we were off.
I got everything set up and gave the kids their lunches. Alyssa a peanut butter sandwich and Van a peanut butter sandwich too. Well it was Van's first peanut butter sandwich.
I had this feeling that something was going to go wrong. So I watched him while he ate. It only took 2 minutes before the started to rub at his nose. And then his ear. I started to notice his nostril swelling and his cheeks turning red. I then examined the rest of him and found hives on his arm!
I got everything packed up in record time. My friend was kind enough to take Alyssa to her house, so I could take Van to the hospital.
On the way to the hospital, I kept telling Van to drink some water because his lips started to swell. I was hoping that that would help keep his airway open. (But I didn't know if that would work or not.) We got there and they immediately took us back and started an IV on him and gave him some Benadryl. About 10 minutes later he got sick all over me and him.
Matt arrive 15 minutes after he got sick. Once Matt held him, he instantly fell asleep. It didn't take much because of the Benadryl and it was also nap time. So I decide to go home and get out of the puke clothes and take a shower.
I was only gone 30 minutes. When I arrived back at the hospital, Van was crying and there were two nurses in the room trying to give him a breathing treatment. Seeing that my son was having trouble breathing, I just broke down crying. I couldn't help it. I know that I needed to put a strong and happy face on for him. Matt said that he woke up having trouble breathing. After the treatment they gave him some steroids. He'll be on those for the next few days along with Benadryl for the next two days. We're following up with the pediatrician next week and he'll refer us to a pediatric allergist.
Well, last night I got on the Internet and ordered him a Medic Alert Bracelet. I got it from Sophies Closet. Here is what it will kind of look like. She will be adding the Medic Alert charm to it so it will catch a person's eye.

Well hopefully I can get out of the panic mode. I think I will feel a little calmer when we see the pediatrician next week. I'm hoping that he can give us some guidance and some good resources.

Anyone that is reading this and has a child with a peanut allergy, please leave a comment. I would love to hear what you have to say.

Your looking at a new member of the Etsymom Street Team!

I guess it wouldn't be "looking". It should probably say, "Your reading about a new member of the Etsymom Street Team." I think looking sounds better though. ;)
Well as you can tell I've joined the Etsymom team. It's kind of like I joined a sorority or something! It's exciting! I hope it brings great opportunities and HELP!
I've been needing a lot of help lately. (And no, not THAT kind of help!) I'm needing to get my business legal and I am finding myself really confused. It's like I'm reading and hearing a foreign language for the first time. If there is anyone that is reading this and knows the process of starting a business, please offer some guidance. It would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

Just a little update

So I've been busy this week working on my quilt. (Finally!) I started working on it one night when the kids went to bed. I was suppose to be working, but decided to just put together 3 blocks. Well that turned into 3 more blocks and before you know it I had finished the whole top! I just couldn't stop. I was in the zone and thought since ALL of my supplies where out, I might as well finish it! (I was just trying to talk myself out of doing actual work!) I'm going to be heading to the fabric store on Monday so a really nice lady can put some flowers and ladybugs on it for me! :) I'll post some pictures when the everything is completed, including the binding. That should be in about a week.

Also, I've been working on my sewing and craft room. The electrician came this morning to fix an outlet in the room so I could move my desk with the computer in. I'll have you know that I am now typing this post from my new room!!!! My very kind and patient husband moved the the desk in and set up the computer for me! The room is almost completed. I've been using my parent's staple gun the past couple of days. (I LOVE that thing!) I've covered some wood pieces with fabric to put on the walls for decoration. I've got one more to cover. So when the room is completely done, I'll post pictures of it also later this week.

Well Van just woke up from his nap so we're off to the park now. It's going to be a pretty day today and rain tonight and tomorrow. So we better get our playing in today while we can! :)

Van didn't want to cooperate.)

summer has officially begun

Well we all know that it's hot outside, but once the summer activities start then we can get in the swing of ALL things summer!

Alyssa has started swimming this week, along with her first cheer lesson. (I'll post pictures of that one later.)
Van sits on the side with me and constantly says, "where sissy?" And it's always the same thing back, "right there in the pool." And then he repeats "pool?" I think it is so cute when he says pool. It sounds different. It's almost like he sings it. Van will get his turn in 4 weeks, but until then he'll sit on the sidelines with me. He'll get the Parent and Me class, so I'm really looking forward to getting kicked a million times! ha ha yeah right!

Alyssa is getting so good at swimming. She's really using her big arms. (Instructor lingo.) We are at my husband's parents' house this week, so the kids will get some extra swimming in.
I just love their pool.
They have a hugh rock waterfall. I love the sound it makes in the evening, when it's nice and quiet and all you hear is the sound of the water.
Pool. Bar-b-que. Warmth. Ice tea. (my new thing)
All things that remind me that it's summer!

And the winner is. . . .

Shelley who said,

"Oh, please let me win...please. please. please....I LOVE these nursing covers, and this one is adorable. Thanks for the 10% off too....I just might have to take you up on that:)"
Congratulations! Her cover is on its way!
